Details.
Therapy Assistants, also known as Allied Health Assistants, work under the supervision of a treating physiotherapist to deliver prescribed therapy programs. Support can include mobility exercises, strengthening work, balance activities and functional practice, with supervision and encouragement to help clients work towards rehabilitation and exercise goals. Suitable for clients across NDIS, Aged Care, Rehab in the Home and private services, particularly people with stable needs who would benefit from ongoing assistance. A physiotherapist completes an assessment or remains involved in the client’s treatment plan, reviews progress and adjusts the program as needed.
