Details.
A targeted treatment for cystic or nodular acne flare-ups. The skin is gently cleansed before a small amount of corticosteroid, triamcinolone, is injected directly into the inflamed lesion using a fine needle. The procedure takes a few seconds per pimple, is virtually painless, and is completed in under 10 minutes. Most clients need one session per breakout. Swelling and pain often begin to subside within 24 hours, with the lesion flattening and fading over the next 2 to 3 days. There is little to no downtime, although slight redness or pinprick marks may occur and usually fade within 15 minutes. Avoid touching or picking the area, strenuous exercise, hot showers, and saunas for the rest of the day. Suitable for painful, swollen, deep cystic or nodular acne, sudden breakouts before special occasions, or blemishes that have not responded to topical treatments.
