Available in clinic or at home. The check assesses your baby's progress, growth and development, screens for concerns and provides reassurance. It includes a top to toe physical examination covering the skin, face, eyes, visual behaviour and smiling, mouth, ears, chest and breathing, heart and pulses, abdomen and umbilicus, genitalia, anus, hips, spine and movements, as well as growth measurements. Parents can also raise questions or concerns about feeding, sleeping, weeing, pooing, caring for their infant and vaccinations. Usually carried out before the first set of vaccinations.
