Polyacrylamide or elastomer substrates with controlled rigidity, functionalized with adhesion molecules to mimic the physical environment of cells. Available stiffness ranges from 0.5 to 100 kPa for polyacrylamide gels, while PDMS is used for rigidities up to MPa. The service supports studies of cell spreading, cell shape, individual or collective migration, and sub-cellular localization of markers in living or fixed cells, with white-light or fluorescence imaging.
