A caregiver from Poland, Romania or Bulgaria lives in the senior's household and provides round-the-clock presence, basic care, household support, companionship and organisation. Tasks include washing, dressing, eating support, toileting, mobilisation, cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking, conversations, games, walks and accompaniment to medical appointments. Medical treatment care such as injections and wound care remains the responsibility of an outpatient nursing service.
