Zauberhafte Physik für Schulen

Berliner Partner-Grundschulen können ehrenamtliche Physikpatinnen und Physikpaten in den Unterricht integrieren. Die Bürgerstiftung Berlin bietet kostenlose Fortbildungen und ein begleitendes Forscherheft für alle Kinder. Pro Jahr kann eine begrenzte Zahl neuer Kooperationen eingegangen werden.

Zauberhafte Experimentierstunden

Regular hands-on science sessions at Berlin partner primary schools. Volunteer physics mentors and teachers guide children in small groups through experiments involving sound waves, forces, magnets, light, water and air. Children discover and understand scientific phenomena while strengthening teamwork, fine motor skills, reading and communication. The project also offers experiment groups and language and subject boxes, which can be combined on project days.

A 90-minute educational physics workshop for primary school classes, mainly grades 3 and 4. Children experiment at five group tables with everyday materials, supported by physics mentors and a teacher. They make predictions, observe results and explain how natural forces are connected. Topics may include air, water, electricity, magnets, sounds, mechanical forces, sound waves and optics.

A 90-minute educational physics workshop for primary school classes, mainly grades 3 and 4. Children read age-appropriate instructions, build experiments in pairs and present their experiments. The programme promotes language skills, fine motor skills, tool use, presentation skills and interest in physics. Topics may include cup telephones, roly-poly toys, weight lifters and paper planes.

Projekttage und individuelle Angebote

Physics project days and individual school programmes are available by arrangement for a class or selected group. Physics mentors support a mix of free experimentation, guided activities and demonstrations, followed by student presentations. Sessions last two or more hours and may run for one or more days. Topics can include selected areas of physics or spectacular experiments such as burning steel, a magnetic cannon and balancing on the rim of a glass.
