Law Week: More than just the road toll, The impact of alcohol on health and safety

A webinar featuring a panel of legal and forensic experts discussing how alcohol consumption affects everyday living, including DIY accidents, falls and violence, as well as the coronial process for alcohol-related deaths. Presented by Coroners Court of Victoria and the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, and moderated and hosted by the ABC's Brian Nankervis.

ICRC Workshop

A week-long workshop at the VIFM attended by eight ICRC forensic advisors from across Asia, covering the principles and practice of a death investigation system. The course was led by Professor Stephen Cordner and involved many VIFM professional staff. ICRC forensic advisors support authorities in host nations with responsibilities under international humanitarian law to the dead victims of armed conflict and help build local technical capacity.
