63 Days of Sit-In | يومًا من الاعتصام 63

A documentary theatre performance based on the true story of the 63-day sit-in staged by Palestinian disability rights activists inside the Palestinian Legislative Council during the COVID-19 pandemic. The protest demanded the implementation of disability rights legislation and equal access to healthcare and public services. Developed through interviews, collective workshops, archival materials and conversations with participants and advocates, the performance explores activism, disability rights, civic participation, resilience, solidarity and the ongoing pursuit of justice. Suitable for ages 13+. Content warnings include political themes, references to disability rights struggles and systemic discrimination. Theatro Technis is fully wheelchair accessible, guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome, and a loop system is fitted in the main auditorium.

A Frangosyriani, a Lady and Roza

Rebetiko Cabaret, a musical and theatrical performance performed in Greek with English surtitles. Three women, three voices, live music and the spirit of Rebetiko. The performance draws on real stories, historical testimonies and the lives behind the songs, bringing female voices to life through music, songs, movement, choreography and storytelling.

Fundraising concert in benefit of Choose Love, featuring international music, world food, film and a silent film with live accompaniment. The event supports Gaza, Sudan and Jamaica and includes performances by Ras Tavaris, Yshani Perinpanayagam, Shivani Sen, Malcolm Connell, Layale Chaker, Oliver Hamilton, KNDE, Voodoo Lily and Beatrice Mori, plus storytelling by Elizabeth Chappell and silent film accompaniment by Yosi Marshall. Estimated running time is 3.5 hours including an interval. Theatro Technis is fully wheelchair accessible, with guide and hearing dogs welcome and a loop system in the main auditorium.

Orwell’s dystopian masterpiece interrogating the dangers of authoritarian government, brought to life by City Academy’s Threshold Theatre Company. This dystopian masterpiece serves as a chilling, cautionary warning against the dangers of totalitarianism, pervasive state surveillance, and the manipulation of truth. This production in a recent adaptation by Nick Hern is performed by a dynamic ensemble from City Academy. Suitable for ages 16+. References to sex and torture.

Jester Collective presents Shakespeare's Hamlet. Prince Hamlet embarks on a dangerous pursuit of truth and justice while he contends with grief and uncertainty as tragedy steadily closes in. The production tells the story of the Prince of Denmark, who seeks to avenge his father's murder after learning that his uncle Claudius was responsible. Estimated running time is 120 minutes, including an interval. Theatro Technis is fully wheelchair accessible, guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome, and a loop system is fitted in the main auditorium.
