Semester 2 Open Day Performance

Live karate performance featuring kata, bunkai and kumite at the University of Melbourne Semester 2 Open Day. The event runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with the karate demonstration at 1:30pm. Held at MacFarland Court, or the Raymond Priestly Building Undercroft in the event of rain.

Internal Mini Tournament

Mon, 24 Aug

A friendly internal tournament for all belt levels, designed to familiarise participants with the rules and format of the LBKA tournament. Competitors are divided by belt level and spar against people of a similar level. Minimum sparring equipment required: mouth guard, punching mitts, and shin and instep guards.

Lion Bushido Tournament

Sun, 30 Aug

Martial arts tournament featuring point sparring, continuous sparring, kata and other divisions for male and female competitors. The club reimburses $20 per event. Entry fees are $50 for one event, $55 for two events and $50 for three events. Registrations close on 25 August 2026.
