A free interactive nutrition exhibition for all 2nd and 3rd primary school classes in the canton of Basel-Stadt. Students explore the origins of food, seasonal and regional products, the concept of the optimal plate, digestion and sugar content through an interactive parcours, followed by an active break with games and a healthy snack by the Rhine. The exhibition is held annually and registration is digital.

Bewegungstreff Basel

A year-round outdoor movement programme for young and young-at-heart seniors in Basel. Participants meet at Quartiertreffpunkt Breite and walk together to Birsköpfli, where they do exercises for strength and balance and walk along the Rhine. The programme is suitable for all fitness levels, takes place in all weather except during school holidays, and requires no registration or prior knowledge. Participants can optionally enjoy coffee together afterwards.

A two-hour workshop for Basel pupils from the 9th grade onwards. Participants examine beauty standards and discuss body image, self-esteem and role models, developing a confident approach to their appearance. The workshop is suitable for schools including grammar schools, WBS, Fachmaturitätsschule and Berufsfachschule.

A senior meeting point offering accessible movement and social exchange at various neighbourhood meeting places. The movement programme Rhythmik nach Dalcroze improves walking safety and reduces the risk of falls, followed by coffee and socialising. The events are popular and attract around 350 participants.

Der Schulärztliche Dienst unterstützt Kinder und Jugendliche mit schulmedizinischen Untersuchungen, Gesundheitsberatung und Präventionsangeboten. Als Teil der Medizinischen Dienste Basel-Stadt begleitet er Schulen und Familien bei gesundheitlichen Fragen und trägt zur öffentlichen Gesundheit bei.
