A puppet theatre show suitable for children aged 4 to 10.

Private Show

Mon, 10 Aug

Book a private performance on the puppet barge with use of the venue for one hour afterwards. Suitable for a children's birthday party. The performance generally lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour, followed by a table in the auditorium for cake and food. Maximum 30 people, including some adults. Tea, coffee and juice boxes are available. Date and time can be arranged by emailing the box office.

Tea Hire

Hire the space for one hour after attending a public performance. Suitable for a small birthday party, with children and adults watching the show before having a tea party in the theatre. Public shows are generally at 11:00 and 14:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, although times may vary.

School shows

School groups can watch a performance on the Puppet Theatre Barge. Performances generally last about an hour, followed by a Q and A and a meet the puppets session. Availability and cost depend on the shows running at the time. Funding may sometimes be available to support state schools. A West African tale told with puppetry, spoken word and traditional West African music. Performed by Swallow’s Wings Puppetry, a London-based grassroots puppet company. The show is suitable for ages 3 to 7 and runs for 50 minutes.
