Bio-Inspired Structured Surfaces for Cellular Studies

A talk describing the synthesis, fabrication and characterization of bio-inspired hybrid nano and microstructures that mimic echinoderm skin, and liquid-infused structured surfaces that mimic carnivorous plants. The presentation covers reversible actuation, omniphobic surfaces, cell differentiation and function, bacterial patterning, and prevention of biofouling and biofilm formation.
