Northern District Book Discussion Group

A monthly book discussion group open to any interested woman. The group selects books relevant to women's lives, including fiction and non-fiction, and welcomes new members. Meetings are held at Northern District Library, 40 Orchard View, Room 224A. In December, the meeting is held on the second Wednesday.

Social Link Planning Meeting

A congenial social and educational group for women of varying ages and backgrounds. Members plan inexpensive or free activities that are easily reached by public transit, including plays, movies, lectures, festivals, galleries, lunches, music and dance performances, coffee and conversation. New members are especially welcome, and events are open to members of the OWN Housing Co-op and the Older Women's Network and their guests. Planning meetings are held at 115 The Esplanade, Toronto.

A French club for mid-life and older women. The group attends French language and French culture movies, then chats about them over French Roast coffee or a glass of red wine, using French with support from two native French-speaking members. To join, contact the organiser.

A creative writing group that explores and shares writing in an atmosphere of positive support and encouragement. Members work with randomly assigned themes or topics of their own choice, and may write memoirs, poems, short stories, reflective essays, journalism and more. Bring an ongoing piece you are working on.
