Keir GoGwilt: The Zarabanda Variations

This concert celebrates the release of The Zarabanda Variations, a combined album and chapbook exploring the historical and present syncretism of Baroque music in 12 original songs, dances, and poems. Musicians convened by violinist and composer Keir GoGwilt, in collaboration with poet Edgar Garcia, traverse the colonial histories of the zarabanda dance through contemporary folkloric and improvised traditions, poetry, and new compositions.
