Sketchbook Club: Autumn Term course

A 14-week art course suitable for artists from year 1 upwards, with a maximum of 15 spaces. Students explore identity through portraiture, surrealism and other art forms and media, while developing drawing, observational, imagination and idea development skills. All materials are provided except for an A4 sketchbook, which can be purchased for £2. The class is full.

Homeschool students

Art sessions for homeschooled students, suitable for all homeschooled students, with a maximum of five spaces. Students work on observational drawing, painting and sculpting techniques, developing their ability to record accurately and express ideas. Sessions include individual feedback, and all materials are provided. The day and time are arranged to suit the group.

One to One Tuition

Personalised art tutorials suitable for all levels, including beginners, GCSE and A Level students, and people returning to art. Sessions are tailored to the student's needs and may cover drawing, painting, coursework or creative practice. Available materials and resources are provided, with students asked to confirm their focus in advance.

1 to 1 Course: An Introduction to Acrylic Portrait Painting

A six-hour one-to-one course suitable for beginners or slightly experienced students. The course covers facial proportions, skull anatomy, portrait artists' techniques, washes, tone, contour and mixing acrylic skin tones. Students complete drawing and painting exercises and begin a portrait painting. All materials are provided.

A five-hour one-to-one course for beginners. Students learn watercolour techniques, colour mixing, drawing and how to develop depth and detail in a refined composition. Students leave with a finished painting, and all materials are provided.

A six-hour one-to-one course suitable for beginners and experienced students. Students make their own handmade sketchbook, learn bookbinding and explore experimental ways to record visual sources using drawing, paint, print, transfer, textiles and photography. All materials are provided.

A 10-hour one-to-one course suitable for beginners or slightly experienced students. Students study a favourite artist, explore their media, techniques, composition and colour, and create a painting inspired by that artist. Materials are provided, including a canvas.

A six-hour one-to-one course suitable for GCSE and A Level students. Students receive tailored guidance to develop ideas, fulfil assessment objectives and create a plan of action. The course includes a gallery visit, first-hand observations, drawing, work with artists and resources, and practical development using provided materials.
