Nightly program from December 16 through 24. Children's piñata for ages 3-12 at 6:30 pm in the plaza, followed by a candlelight procession at 7:15 pm beginning in front of the Avila Adobe. The procession includes angels, Mary and Joseph, shepherds, and traditional Christmas songs in Spanish. Rondalla del Sol performs from 6:30-8:00 pm with 8-10 musicians specializing in string instruments. Free sweet bread and champurrado are given to all after the procession. The piñata does not take place if it is raining.

Novenario Procession

Nightly procession featuring a traditional Mayan Blessing and Soul Cleansing before and after the procession. Grupo Tartalejos, an indigenous Aztec group, leads the procession with incense and ceremonial blessing, joined by Aztec Dancers and Living Muertos participants dressed as skeletons. The procession leads to a nightly ceremony in the Kiosko honoring loved ones of a merchant family or special community member. Free sweet bread and beverages are given to all in attendance.
