The Dark Side of Creativity

A six-week course presented by the Advanced Clinical Education Foundation of NYSSCSW, exploring creative compulsions, the demon lover complex, writing blocks, repression, trauma, mourning, and healthy creative desire. Weekly lectures, discussions, required readings, and clinical learning objectives are included. The course is intended for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, licensed psychoanalysts, and art therapists. Virtual attendance is available through GoToMeeting. The course offers 7.5 continuing education contact hours, awarded upon completion of the entire course. NYSSCSW members pay $120 and non-members pay $180.

Psychoanalytic Work with Erotic Transference

A six week virtual course sponsored by the Advanced Clinical Education Foundation of the NYSSCSW. The course offers an in-depth exploration of the developmental evolution of psychoanalytic work with erotic transference, including object relations, symbolic expression, homoerotic and heterosexual aspects, countertransference, clinical cases, discussion, readings, learning goals and experiential role-play. The full program awards 9.0 contact hours. Registration is through the ACE Foundation. Total fee: NYSSCSW members, $120; non-members, $180.

6 Week Supervisory Group with Six Experiential Dimensions

A virtually conducted six-week supervisory group for psychotherapists and psychoanalysts. Sessions include role-playing, in vivo writing, guided meditative visualization, process case presentation, reading and discussion, and body awareness focused on being in the moment with patients. Fee is $360 for six weeks.
