Financing major projects
For investment projects over €25 million that promote sustainable development objectives in climate and the environment, agribusiness, energy, infrastructure, innovation, and other areas, international financial institutions known as Development Banks provide risk capital for economic development projects on a non-commercial basis. International R&D Tax Credit Incentives
R&D tax incentives are government schemes offered in Europe, the UK and across the globe to provide tax savings and often cash refunds for companies investing in R&D activities. FRS supports clients by identifying eligible projects and expenses, preparing and calculating claims, documenting the innovative aspects, assisting with administrative enquiries and providing end-to-end support. In Spain, companies can apply a 25% deduction on R&D expenses, or 42% on the portion exceeding the average of the previous two years' R&D expenditure. Spain also offers the option to obtain 80% of the R&D tax credit as cashback, subject to requirements including a binding report from the Ministry of Economy.

IP Box
IP Box, or Patent Box, provides a preferential corporate tax rate of 10% instead of 25% on income from patented R&D assets sold, assigned or sub-licensed. The scheme is optional and requires an appendix attached to the income tax return and a supporting file describing the R&D work involved in designing each asset, the relevant R&D expenditure and the Nexus ratio. The service includes identification of eligible assets, assessment of eligible income, financial analysis of R&D expenditure and the Nexus ratio, and compilation of the technical supporting file.
