Postnatal Consultation

Postnatal Consultations for babies up to 6 weeks of age cost $20 with a valid Medicare Card. Without a Medicare Card, the cost is $71.75 for appointments up to 40 minutes or $125.85 for appointments greater than 40 minutes.

Breastfeeding Support Service

The 90 minute Breastfeeding Support Service costs $50 with a valid Medicare Card or $208.75 without a Medicare Card. Consultations are available in person or via Telehealth and involve an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant developing a personalised feeding plan.

Pre-Admission Consultations are bulk billed with a valid Medicare Card. Without a Medicare Card, the cost is $32.10 for appointments up to 40 minutes or $73.75 for appointments greater than 40 minutes.

Antenatal CTG Appointment

Antenatal CTG appointments cost $20.00 with a valid Medicare Card. Without a Medicare Card, the cost is $52.10 for appointments up to 40 minutes or $93.25 for appointments greater than 40 minutes. An Obstetrician referral is required.

Pre-Admission Consultation

Consultation with a Registered Midwife to discuss your pregnancy, health and answer questions about your hospital admission. Bulk billed with a valid Medicare Card.

Postnatal Consultation

Support following discharge from hospital, including general feeding and mothercraft support, wound care and postnatal assessments of mothers and babies. This is a short appointment for patients who delivered their baby at Frances Perry House.

A 90 minute antenatal or postnatal appointment with an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant to develop a personalised feeding plan. A 90 minute, one-on-one session with an endorsed midwife in a safe and supportive space to explore your birth experience, ask questions, gain clarity and feel heard.
