Senior Social: Art in Every Corner

A morning of connection, community, and creativity for adults 65 and up. Create your own print in the art workshop, learn about the Paper Vault exhibition from expert gallery teachers, enjoy rounds of Blanton Bingo, and connect with fellow art lovers. Breakfast treats and refreshments are provided. The program includes admission to the Art with an Expert talk. $12 for seniors, free for Blanton Members.

Art with an Expert: Art for the Millions - The New Deal and American Art During the Great Depression

Learn about the impact of the New Deal on American art as seen in Art in Every Corner. The talk examines the federal government's cultural projects and the Works Progress Administration's impact on artists, exhibitions, and audiences, with attention to women artists, working class artists, and artists of color. Included with museum admission. All attendees are requested to register due to limited seating. Free for Blanton Members, UT-Austin ID holders, K-12 teachers with ID, and kids 5 and under. Admission is included for guests attending Senior Social beforehand.
