The 23rd Police Precinct (“Tenderloin”) Station House is a landmarked 1907–08 police building designed by R. Thomas Short. Its distinctive Medieval Revival architecture features rusticated granite, Roman brick, a Guastavino-tile automobile entrance, and a crenellated parapet; it now serves the NYPD’s Traffic Control Division.
