UNSW-subsidised rates are applicable to UNSW-funded projects. The Research Rate applies to all other universities and government institutions, including ANSTO and CSIRO. Samples may be provided pre-treated from previously approved laboratories under the Research Rate. Rates are in Australian dollars, excluding GST, and per sample. AMS Radiocarbon Analysis (14C) costs $400 per sample at the Research Rate, while Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS, 13C, 15N) costs $50 per sample. The facility supports a limited number of collaborative projects at Research Rates and provides cost support through additional sample analysis. Typical turnaround time is three months. No expedited service is offered for an additional fee.
