For publicly funded research, the fee of $725 per hour applies. The minimum booking unit is one hour, and the full fee is charged even if scan time falls short of a full hour. The fee includes use of core equipment, data transfer, medical supervision including duty of care reporting, a reasonable amount of training by facility staff on equipment setup and use and data analysis, safety training, use of facility amenities for participant preparation and wind-down, and use of an interview room if available and booked beforehand. Fees are reviewed annually, with an expected annual price increase of 3%. There are no charges for enquiries or initial feasibility consultations, or for setting up standard protocols. Extensive project-specific method development is charged separately. Contrast agents, nursing support, general anaesthesia and sedation are charged at cost and quoted case by case.
