Chatswood Medical Practice is a private billing practice and charges a gap fee for all consultations. Fees and rebates are a guide only, and the doctor determines the Medicare item number based on the length and complexity of the consultation. Saturday, Sunday and public holiday appointments attract a $20 to $40 higher fee than weekday appointments. Some doctors offer a discounted rate for pensioners, children and students. A $40 non-attendance fee applies if a patient does not attend a standard appointment or cancels with less than two hours notice.
