Medicare offers rebates of $145.25 for up to 10 psychological sessions per calendar year. A Mental Health Care Plan and letter of referral from a General Practitioner or Psychiatrist are required. After the first six psychology sessions, a GP review is required, following which an additional four sessions may be granted.
