The ferry can generally be rented outside normal operating hours for private events. Deviations are possible by arrangement. The rental cost is CHF 150 for the first hour and CHF 100 for each additional hour. Rental prices exclude food and drinks. During official operating hours, rental is possible Monday to Friday only, except during Basel Carnival and the Autumn Fair, with a maximum of 10 people. Outside official operating hours, groups of up to 16 people are possible, with a maximum of 12 people inside the ferry. Food and drinks can be brought along or organised through the caterers.
