When you downgrade or cancel a trip, you can receive some or all of your money back as an eVoucher. eVouchers can be used toward future trip purchases on Amtrak.com, through the Amtrak app, at an Amtrak ticket office or by phone. One or more eVouchers with the same name can pay for a reservation when the eVoucher name matches the full name of one traveler. An eVoucher can be combined with a credit card. eVouchers are non-transferable and expire one year after issuance of the original ticket. Depending on the original fare rules, funds may be refundable, non-refundable or a combination. The value of a redeemed eVoucher is non-refundable.
