A single-day hire bridges three calendar days: pick up any time from 3pm the day before, use the kit on the rental day, then return by 11am the day after. The early-pickup window and morning-after return grace are included in the day rate. Multi-day hires work the same way, spanning N+2 calendar days for N rental days.
