A limited selection of equipment is available for hire, including video and slide projectors, theatre and film lights, and zoom recorders. Coursework and research take priority in the availability and allocation of this equipment. The CPL does not provide insurance against theft or damage. Hirers must ensure equipment is returned in good condition, and are recommended to have contingency funds or adequate insurance for damage or theft. Lanterns borrowed or hired are not covered by venue lamp levies, so users must replace any bulbs that fail. The hirer must ensure that a suitably qualified person is in charge of equipment at all times. The CPL will not replace, repair or maintain equipment that fails during a hire period.
