Provide hands-on leadership to a maintenance team of up to 30 employees and contractors across multiple trades, ensuring safety, quality and fleet reliability. Lead daily workshop activities, supervise maintenance personnel and contractors, perform trade-based bus fleet maintenance and repairs, conduct vehicle inspections and diagnostics, maintain maintenance records, monitor productivity and inventory, oversee warranty activities, and promote compliance with safety and operational standards. Applicants must hold a current NSW Motor Vehicle Trade Certificate as a Motor Mechanic, or alternatively as a Panel Beater or Auto Electrician with significant bus industry knowledge and relevant experience. A current HC licence, or a Class C licence with willingness to obtain an HC licence, and supervisory or team leadership experience are required. The role offers approximately $90,000 to $120,000 plus superannuation, including shift allowances and overtime, a monthly rostered day off, five weeks annual leave, training and development, and exposure to electric vehicle technology. The position is based mainly at Port Botany, with regular travel to Randwick and Waverley depots, and operates on a rotating roster including shift and weekend work.
