Part-time contract opportunity to perform on-site work for the Texas Racing Commission veterinary team. Contractors perform veterinary technician services at racetracks assigned by the Chief Veterinarian. Duties and staffing depend on the type of meet and the number of horses anticipated for morning exercises or daily haul-in examinations at the Receiving Barn. Assignments may include exercise works and lameness evaluations before and after race meets. Contractors should be licensed, and direct deposit is required. The hourly rate is $35 for a single day and $50 for two or more consecutive days.
