Urgent Care Nurses work with an administration officer and an experienced urgent care GP to deliver timely care for medically urgent, non-life-threatening presentations. Responsibilities include taking focused patient histories, triaging patients, escalating urgent cases to doctors, applying basic initial treatments such as dressings, wound cleaning and simple analgesia, and documenting triage histories precisely. Requirements include Registered Nurse qualifications with current AHPRA registration, at least one year of urgent care or emergency nursing experience, strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the right to work in Australia.
