The Green Square Urgent Care Service is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with an administration officer and a general practitioner to triage and treat medically urgent patients who are not experiencing a life-threatening emergency. Responsibilities include assessing patient histories, triaging patients, communicating with patients, escalating urgent cases to doctors, applying basic initial treatments such as dressing, wound cleaning and simple analgesia, and documenting triage histories. Applicants need current AHPRA registration, at least one year of urgent care or emergency nursing experience, strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the right to work in Australia. Decision-making under pressure, patient care and education, adaptability, resilience, continuous learning, and cannulation or blood drawing skills, or willingness to learn, are also noted.
