Lead news programming for a highly respected broadcaster in a competitive market in a desirable California community. Duties include overseeing all TV and online news programming, producing weekday and weekend newscasts and a weekday local magazine show, developing content for multiple platforms and social media, building a productive work environment, mentoring and leading 60 news professionals, and engaging the community through news coverage, roundtables, digital town halls and discussion forums. Required experience includes serving as a News Director at an independent, Fox or CW station or similar medium or small market station, or as an Executive Producer or higher in a top 30 market or competitive news organization. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to build TV and digital audiences across platforms, mentor and lead teams, maintain a positive work environment, and bring passion and energy to broadcast news.
