Office-based employees produce accurate and timely transcripts from recorded audio in accordance with the company style manual. Contractor transcriptionists work from home, bill the company for their output, must reside in Australia, have an ABN and provide their own equipment. Contractors can choose their workload and availability, with running court work generally requiring availability from 10am to 6pm AEST on weekdays, while delayed work can be completed on any day and at any time. Contractors need a Windows 10 PC, headphones, foot pedal, suitable internet connection, weekly availability and invoices, and may need to use transcription software. A recent National Police Clearance, typing test and Expression of Interest document are required.
