Vinson & Elkins offers four to six training contracts commencing in September each year. Trainees gain wide experience across multiple areas simultaneously, working with a variety of associates and partners rather than following a rigid seat system. Based in London, trainees often take secondments in other offices, particularly in the Middle East and Houston, and travel is likely. An associate mentor provides additional support and assistance. Compensation listed for 2024 includes £60,000 for first-year trainees and £65,000 for second-year trainees.
