Two year training programme divided into four six-month seats, including core seats in contentious and non-contentious areas. Trainees gain hands-on experience, client contact, responsibility from an early stage, and opportunities to develop drafting and negotiating skills. Trainees are expected to be bright, hardworking, eager to work with and learn from others, able to work independently and in teams, and able to provide clear, direct and commercially astute advice. Fladgate offers flexible working, allowing trainees to work from home up to two days per week. The first year trainee salary is £45,000 and the second year trainee salary is £47,000.
