Two-year traineeship covering four six-month seats across the firm. Trainees spend time in Tax and Succession and Land and Property, as well as Charities, Employment and Dispute Resolution, Divorce and Family, and Family and Private Businesses. Training is mostly based in Edinburgh, with some opportunities to work in Glasgow. Trainees must have a Scottish Law Degree at upper second or above, or an accelerated ordinary LLB following an upper second or above in their first degree. The firm sponsors PEAT1 fees and expects trainees to pass at the first sitting. Trainees benefit from structured mentoring, on-the-job training, internal seminars, continuing professional development and Partner-led quarterly reviews. The next recruitment process is for the 2028 traineeships.
