Airbiz is seeking a Terminal Planner to join its Canadian or United States offices. The role involves using architectural and spatial planning skills on development projects at major airports worldwide, including expansions and retrofits for existing terminals and the design of new terminal facilities. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative, sustainable and resilient terminal design. Essential requirements include an undergraduate degree in architecture, building engineering, design or a related discipline, at least five years of experience in aviation or airport planning or design, and experience with CAD, 3D modelling, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Microsoft Office Suite. Candidates should be self-motivated, accountable, comfortable working with global teams across time zones, and have strong time management, organisational, presentation, research and communication skills. Applicants must be legally able to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship. Experience in airport planning and development, spatial analysis, airfield geometric layouts, building codes, aviation standards, sustainable and resilient design, graphics production and project-based environments is beneficial. The position is based in Canada or the United States, with possible locations including Toronto, Montreal, the New York City area, Seattle and Vernon. Periodic domestic and international travel may be required.
