Temporary six-week law clerk position starting October 13, 2026, while the career law clerk is on parental leave. The role primarily involves civil motion practice in consent and referral cases before a magistrate judge. Work will be primarily in person at the San Francisco courthouse, with hybrid partial remote work potentially available. Applicants should understand the work of a law clerk and be prepared to contribute immediately with minimal training. Prior district court clerkship experience is strongly preferred. Other clerkship, judicial staff attorney experience, or substantial judicial extern experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
