Teach Qur'an to children aged 6 to 15, teach about Islam, encourage positive behaviour and attitudes, plan lessons, assess learning, report to parents, manage learning and behaviour, participate in training and work as part of a team. Applicants must have completed formal studies in Qur'an recitation and memorisation, plus GCSE and A Level and good further or higher education, preferably in the UK. Applicants should have QTS or a relevant qualification, experience working with children, knowledge of how children learn, good knowledge of teaching Qur'an and Primary Arabic, and the ability to communicate in English. The role is based at one of the school's four Tower Hamlets branches according to need and requires availability on Saturdays from 09:30 to 15:00 during term time. Contract: 1 year, self-employed, from September 2025. Salary: £40 to £60 per teaching day depending on qualifications and experience.
