A certified paraprofessional trained to assist with personal care and home management related to client comfort, care, and safety in a home setting or assisted living facility. Services are provided to clients with emotional or behavioral problems. Duties include supervising activities of daily living, assisting with prescribed exercises, skin care, transfers, elimination, bathing, oral hygiene and hair care, recording vital signs, changing simple non-sterile dressings, shopping for supplies, preparing meals according to dietary instructions, reporting changes in the client's condition or family situation, maintaining a clean and safe environment, using special equipment appropriately, and performing duties listed in the care plan.
