Details.
The Hong Kong office offers summer vacation schemes, typically lasting three weeks in one of its practice groups. Students are supervised by a partner and work closely with associates and trainees. The scheme provides insight into life at the Hong Kong office and the work encountered as a Hong Kong trainee. Students may undertake legal research, translation work and document drafting, and may attend client meetings or go to court. They are also invited to talks, firm events and training sessions. Applicants should be law students seeking a training contract starting in two to three years, with outstanding academic and personal achievements, and should be enthusiastic, personable, intelligent and willing to contribute. Applications for the 2027 summer vacation scheme are open from 1 August 2026 to 15 January 2027. Approximately 16 summer placements are available each year.
