Boston University Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math/Science is accepting applications for summer 2026 tutoring positions. Tutors may be residential or nonresidential and may assist with academic subjects including English, writing, mathematics, science, history, social studies, study skills, note taking, and foreign languages. Tutors may also assist with extracurricular activities such as arts and crafts, basketball, cooking, mock trial, music, running, soccer, tennis, theatre, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, weights, yoga, and other activities. Applicants should describe their interest in working with Upward Bound and their experience with high school students, including teaching, tutoring, groups, individuals, or relevant coursework. Applicants should also provide relevant extracurricular or community activities, laboratory experience if applicable, and a personal statement about a challenging aspect of adolescence and how it may help them relate to Upward Bound students. Paid staff and volunteers must clear a Criminal Offender Records Information check. Applications should include a resume.
