qR Architects is looking for exceptional people to join its innovative and modern approach team. The Structural Engineer will understand design projects, prepare and develop calculations, analysis, drawings, diagrams, models and other design documents, assist with internal design team coordination, take responsibility for specific areas of design and project development when required, liaise with external design team members and associated organisations, maintain evidence of continuing professional development in line with the relevant professional institution, comply with qR Architects procedures and standards, and provide other assistance as required by the Project Leader, Senior Architect or nominated Engineer. Essential qualities include the legal right to work in the country where the position is based, strong technical engineering skills, previous experience in an engineering practice, the ability to formulate and present design decisions, use varied media, work well in a team, take initiative, work under pressure and meet deadlines, and remain flexible with a commitment to lifelong learning. Desirable qualities include understanding the engineer's role in project coordination and information management, assisting with junior graduate engineers, understanding project financial aspects, and experience with GSA, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD, Internet Safari, Pages, Numbers or Keynote. The role reports day to day to the Project Leader of the current project and ultimately to the Senior Architect.
