Podiatry Professionals and the Canberra Heel Pain Institute are seeking one or two energetic podiatrists for a diverse role with a detailed biomechanical focus. The role is balanced with other podiatry interests in a private practice with an established referral base, and includes working across sports podiatry and heel pain clinics in Braddon. The successful applicant will treat a broad range of patients, with opportunities in sports podiatry, elite athletes, paediatrics, biomechanics and orthotic therapy, musculoskeletal treatment plans, modern treatment modalities, diabetes and nail surgeries. The clinics have a strong biomechanics and sports podiatry focus, with approximately 70 to 75 per cent of the patient load in these areas, and the successful applicant will be involved in treating Australian Defence Force members. The role includes mentoring, weekly professional development, CPD support, flexible working hours, podiatry assistant support and administrative assistance. Essential criteria include a tertiary qualification in podiatry, professional indemnity insurance, current AHPRA registration, strong communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail, interest in biomechanics and sports podiatry, report writing skills and a driver's licence. A $10,000 bursary is offered to successful applicants.
