Full-time role at the Senior School campus in Marylebone, Central London, working with students aged 11 to 18. Responsibilities include providing speech and language therapy, preparing, delivering and evaluating pupil support, therapeutic and educational programmes, assessing interventions, contributing targets to individual education plans, recording and reporting pupil progress, maintaining intervention records, participating in appraisals and continuing professional development, supervising students and therapy assistants, attending staff and therapy team meetings, participating in whole-school events, providing staff cover and supporting safeguarding. The school is seeking an experienced and compassionate therapist who is a qualified Band 6 speech and language therapist with HCPC registration, experience working with children with SEN or SpLD, IT literacy, knowledge of risk management, health and safety and child protection, excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience in a school setting, behaviour support strategies, care planning and complex clinical decision-making are desirable. The role is term time only, 37 weeks per year, five days per week.
