Paragon Law is seeking an asylum solicitor to manage an active and complex asylum caseload, including unaccompanied minors, adult asylum claims, fresh claims, extension applications, appeals and higher court work. The role reports directly to the Head of the Asylum Department and includes responsibility for representing vulnerable applicants, acting as an ambassador for the firm, and working collaboratively with legal administrators and business executives. Remote working is available within a remote-first, hybrid arrangement, with check-in days agreed with the head of team. Applicants must be accredited to Senior Caseworker level of the Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation scheme, educated to degree level or equivalent, eligible to work full time in the UK for three years from engagement, and fluent in spoken and written English. Experience of conducting asylum or immigration caseloads, working to deadlines and financial targets, working under a Legal Aid Agency contract, representing unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, preparing appeals and judicial review applications, resisting removals, or supervision is desirable.
