Join Novabook's small, rapidly growing engineering team to build integrated products that automate accounting firm workflows across workflow, payments, open banking, payroll and automated bookkeeping. Recent projects include evaluating an AI document ingestion pipeline, embedding bank accounts into the application, automating bank transaction categorisation using AI agents, building an orchestration layer for repetitive tasks, and developing employee systems of record for payroll. The technology stack includes a TypeScript monorepo, Lambdas, Next.js, React Native, AI workflows, Jest, Playwright and Terraform. Novabook works in four-week product cycles followed by a one-week cool down period, with daily stand-ups and Linear for project management. The role requires a strong academic background in a STEM subject, experience with the technology stack, the ability to take end-to-end ownership of problems from ideation through production, and a desire to build an amazing company.
