The Scar Free Foundation is looking for a part-time Social Media and Content Officer to lead day-to-day content creation, publishing and management across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn. The role includes creating reels, videos, carousels, graphics and written content from research updates, fundraising activity and campaigns; adapting content for different platforms and audiences; managing publishing, accessibility and optimisation; responding to comments and messages; building relationships with audiences, supporters, partners and Ambassadors; monitoring performance; producing regular reports; and supporting key campaigns, including a major report launch in October. Applicants should have experience managing social media channels, an understanding of platform specifications and audience adaptation, experience creating engaging digital content, strong writing skills, creativity, attention to detail, good organisational skills, and an understanding of analytics and insights. Experience in a charity, research, volunteering or fundraising environment is desirable, as is familiarity with Canva and Buffer. The role is suitable for recent graduates, postgraduate students, early-career applicants, or people with existing social media experience seeking flexible part-time work. This is a six-month fixed-term contract with possible extension subject to funding, based remotely or in South Wales, with regular informal catch-ups in Swansea and occasional travel. The salary is £28,000 to £30,000 FTE, or £11,200 to £12,000 for two days a week. Applications close at 5pm on Friday 31 July 2026.
